Glutack is a user-friendly device for the atraumatic laparoscopic fixation of hernia mesh. Providing precise and consistent delivery of Glubran 2 (NBCA+MS) with every pull of the trigger, to minimize surgical complications and the potential pain associated with the use of tacks and staples. Improving surgical outcomes and reducing healthcare costs.
Glutack – hernia mesh fixation system
GLUTACK® A total evolution.
Designed from years of experience with Glubran® 2 in atraumatic mesh fixation, for both laparoscopic and laparotomic surgery.
Glutack® is a user-friendly device for the atraumatic fixation of hernia mesh. With every pull of the trigger, it delivers one precisely calibrated drop of Glubran® 2 (NBCA+MS) — around 0.0125 ml per drop, with no waste — to minimize the surgical complications and pain associated with tacks and staples, while improving surgical outcomes and reducing healthcare costs.
- One calibrated drop dispensed with every pull of the trigger, with immediate release
- Glutack® + Glubran® 2 = one high-performance adhesive fixation point
- No change in clinical practice: delivery is a simple “place, point and squeeze,” similar to traditional mesh fixation devices
- Zero tissue penetration, versus 3.2 to 7.5 mm for conventional tacks — genuinely atraumatic fixation
- Less post-operative pain than tacks, from day 1 through 24 months, on VAS scoring
- Comparable tensile and adhesive strength to leading tack systems, with tissue regrowth strength on par at 12 months
- Available in two formats — 30 or 60 drops — for laparoscopic (swivelling, articulating tip) or laparotomic (short) procedures, sized to the mesh and surgical need
- Glubran® 2’s efficacy in hernia repair — less post-op pain, fewer complications, lower recurrence, cost-effective — is backed by extensive clinical literature
- Keeps the mesh in place while respecting natural tissue ingrowth, improving patient safety and surgeon confidence
